Instant Buy
First refusal.
Before it goes public.
Instant Buy lets serious buyers get notified privately when a matching card is listed — and gives sellers a direct line to motivated buyers before their listing is visible to anyone else.
For buyers
Get first refusal on cards you actually want
- 01
Add a want with Instant Buy enabled
Go to the Buying tab on your sell page and search for the card you want. Set your minimum condition, foil preference, and a max price (required to enable Instant Buy). Toggle Instant Buy on — you'll see your position in the queue for that card.
- 02
Wait for a match
When a Pro or Trade seller lists that exact card at or below your max price in your required condition, you get an email notification. The listing stays hidden from public Browse while the queue works through.
- 03
Confirm within 24 hours
Open the claim link in your email. You'll see a live countdown showing how long you have. Click 'Confirm purchase' to lock in the card at the listed price, or 'Pass' to let the next buyer in queue have a turn.
For sellers
Sell to motivated buyers before anyone else sees it
Available on Pro and Trade plans.
- 01
List your card as normal
Search for the card, set condition and price. At the publish step, if Instant Buy buyers exist for that card at your price, you'll see a panel showing how many buyers are queued and the highest bounty.
- 02
Choose your routing
Select 'Instant buyers first' to route privately through the queue, or 'List publicly' to go live immediately. If you route via Instant Buy, the listing is held as reserved — it won't appear in Browse until all queued buyers have passed or timed out.
- 03
Wait for confirmation
Each buyer gets 24 hours to confirm. If they pass or time out, the next buyer is notified automatically. Once the queue is exhausted, the listing goes live to everyone.
Queue mechanics
How the queue works
First-come, first-served
Buyers are queued in the order they added their want. The earliest want gets first refusal. Queue positions are locked at the moment the seller publishes — adding a want after a listing is created won't put you in that listing's queue.
One buyer at a time
Only the buyer at the front of the queue is notified. Once they confirm, pass, or time out, the next buyer is notified automatically. The listing stays hidden from public Browse throughout this process.
24-hour claim window
Once notified, a buyer has exactly 24 hours to confirm or pass. A live countdown is shown on the claim page. If the window expires, the claim is automatically released and the next buyer is notified.
If the queue is exhausted
If every queued buyer passes or times out, the listing automatically goes live to the public and all remaining want-list holders for that card receive a standard notification email.
