What is professional grading?

Professional grading is the process of having a neutral third party evaluate, authenticate, and encapsulate your trading card. Golden Card Grading grades cards on a standardised 1–10 scale, examining centering, corners, edges, and surface condition under magnification. The result is a permanent, tamper-evident slab that proves your card's authenticity and condition to any future buyer — worldwide.

Grading is particularly worthwhile for near-mint holofoils, first-edition prints, chase rares, and any card where condition significantly affects value. A PSA 10 equivalent can command multiples of the raw card price at auction.

Ship your card

Once confirmed, you'll securely ship your card to Golden Card Grading using tracked, insured postage. We'll provide the exact address and packaging guidelines.

Expert evaluation

Trained graders at Golden Card Grading assess your card across four categories: centering, corners, edges, and surface. Each card receives an objective numeric grade from 1–10.

Encapsulation & return

Your graded card is sealed in a tamper-evident case displaying its grade. It's then shipped back to you — ready to display, trade, or list on MoxMarket.
